The SeaLINK DIO-16 provides 8 optically isolated inputs and 8 reed relay outputs for PC-based control and automation in industrial environments. The inputs are optically isolated to protect the PC and other sensitive equipment from spikes and ground loop current, which are common in industrial settings. The reed relay outputs provide dry contact switch closures, with long-life and low current (10W max) performance. The outputs are normally open, closing when energized.
The product includes removable screw terminals for easy wiring and a DIN rail mounting option for flexible installation in control systems. As a legacy product, it is not recommended for new designs due to limited availability of critical components, and we recommend transitioning to the SeaI/O-410U for new projects.
The SeaLINK DIO-16 continues to receive technical and warranty support, and SeaIO Classic software drivers simplify installation on Windows operating systems. Please note, this product is not supported on USB 3.x ports and requires an update to SeaIO drivers for proper operation.
